Bio

Sarah AshleyI am an Instructional Designer, Technology Specialist, Learning Designer, and Moodle Expert, with 10+ years of eLearning experience in Higher Education.

Formerly with the Office of Instructional Technology & eLearning Solutions (ITeS), at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, at the Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) campus in Newark, NJ, from February 2012 till June 2017, where I guided faculty and staff to design universally accessible online courses, and select educational technologies appropriate for students to achieve the learning goals and outcomes.

Prior to this position, I was the Instructional Technology Specialist at Drew University until February 2012, before which I worked as an adjunct professor in the Media Communication and Technology Department (now called Digital Media Technologies) at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) during the Fall 2006 semester, teaching Digital Photography & Still Images (graduate class) and Electronic Communication Technologies (undergrad class).

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana, and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. I also received my Master of Education in Instructional Technology from East Stroudsburg University (ESU).

In addition to my professional experience as an instructional technologist, software programmer, web designer and instructional courseware developer, I am a computer training & instructional technology consultant.

In my leisure time, I listen to audio books, music, and play with my 3-and-a-half yr old son. I also love to sing, and play the drums for my Praise Team whenever they need a substitute.
